THE "REESE EFFECT" IS REAL - ATLANTA DREAM ARE SELLING OUT

THE "REESE EFFECT" IS REAL - ATLANTA DREAM ARE SELLING OUT

Angel Reese doesn't just show up. She shows up and changes the room.

Since leaving the Chicago Sky and landing in Atlanta, Reese hasn't just helped push the Dream to No. 6 in the WNBA standings - she's turned their arena into the hottest ticket in the league. After just 15 home games this season, Atlanta has already blown past their entire 2025 attendance record. We're talking 100,369 fans through the doors as of August 3, compared to 98,560 for the whole of last season, which had 20 home games. And they've still got two more home games to play after clinching a playoff spot. Playoff crowds are usually the biggest of the year, so that 100K mark landing with seven games still on the clock? That's not luck. That's star power.

Dream president Shaw Parker basically called it back in April: "Our fans have basically said there could be no better move than to bring her in with this team… She fits in with the Atlanta culture like no other." Turns out he was right. Ticket prices for the home opener jumped straight to $198+ on the resale market, and marquee matchups - Reese vs. her old Chicago Sky team on Sept. 19, two Caitlin Clark showdowns, a date with the Aces - are already the games everyone's circling on the calendar.

And Reese isn't just bringing the crowd, she's backing it up. She's leading the entire league in rebounds per game (11.8), averaging 16.1 points and 2.4 assists, and became the fastest player in WNBA history to hit 1,000 career rebounds - in just 79 games. She also holds the record for fastest to 57 career double-doubles. Her coach, Karl Smesko, said it best: "I think she's gonna be somebody that people are talking about for MVP sometime very soon." Sure, a recent rough patch exposed some cracks in Atlanta's shooting, but nobody's questioning whether Reese belongs in the conversation. She's already there.

This is exactly the energy we live for - an athlete who pulls people into arenas, into fandom, into a whole culture, just by being unapologetically herself. It's the same energy we design into every TOMME piece. Sport isn't just something you watch anymore. It's something you wear, carry, and show up in.

Case in point: our "She a Baller" bag - made from an actual regulation-size basketball, finished with orange leather top handles and a matching 120cm strap. It's made to order, it's one of a kind, and it's basically the accessory equivalent of Reese pulling down a rebound in traffic: bold, a little unexpected, and impossible to ignore.

If the Reese Effect has you feeling like courtside is the new front row, dress the part.
